"K" Line 20' Corrugated Container #3250 2-Pack $12.50

"K" Line is the largest of the Japanese shipping lines. The K stands for Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha. Their bright red containers are so common around the world that it's difficult to believe that nearly the entire fleet was sunk during WWII and had to be rebuilt from scratch. The blue and white "T.I.R." logo refers to a customs expediting system and is commonly found on Japanese owned containers.

Showa 40' Dual Logo Panel Corrugated Container #5390 2-Pack $11.95

Showa Line was born of the 1964 restructuring of Japanese shipping lines. With the inclusion of their subsidiaries, Showa was counted as one of Japan's "Big Six" fleets. In 1998 Showa was aquired by NYK Line and these containers now operate as part of the NYK fleet.

TransOcean 40' Dual Logo Panel Corrugated Container #5411 2-Pack $11.95

TranOcean was in the container leasing business. Companies like Trans Ocean make their living by providing flexibility to shipping lines. By leasing containers, shipping lines can enter new markets without risking a huge investment in containers. If a new service is a failure, they can just return the leased containers, cast off their lines and sail somewhere else. TransOcean was aquired by Transamerica in 1996.

Lauritzen Cool Logistics (LCL) is a subsidiary of NYK Lauritzen Cool which is a partnership between NYK Line and J. Lauritzen (of Lauritzen Reefers fame). LCL is based in Stockholm and operates around the world. This group of LCL containers was leased from GE Seaco, which is also the result of a partnership. London based GE Seaco administers the fleets of GE Capital and SeaContainers.

Mediterranean Shipping Company is a privately owned shipping line based in Geneva, Switzerland. Founded in 1970, MSCo. has grown to have the second largest fleet of ships with the fourth largest number of container slots in the world. Their network spans the world, serving 174 ports on 5 continents. MSCo. commonly uses the "Land Bridge" services of railroads in North America to move Asian goods to Europe and Africa and vice-versa.

Wan Hai 40' Dual Logo Panel Corrugated Container #5421 2-Pack $12.95

Taiwan based Wan Hai started in the mid-60s mostly hauling steel and logs around Asia. In 1982 they began hauling containers in ernest. Now they serve much of the world and their containers are increasingly common on stack trains across the U.S.

Hyundai 40' Hi-Cube Corrugated Container #20101 2-Pack $12.95

No, this container is not filled with shiny new cars. Long before Hyundai made spiffy economy cars, there was Hyundai Merchant Marine. Their red-orange dry boxes in 20', 40', and 45' lengths are a common sight around the world. The shipping line is operated separately from the auto making and heavy manufacturing Hyundai entities. In addition to container ships, they also operate a wide range of bulk carriers.

NYK 40' Hi-Cube Corrugated Container #20050 2-Pack $11.95

This rebranding of the classic NYK (Nippon Yusen Kaisha) name was the result of a desire to reflect the full spectrum of logistics services provided by this major Japanese shipping line. NYK first appeared in 1885 as the result of a merger. They began to containerize in 1969, and by 1985 they were booking space on double stack trains across America.

150 mile Spokane International connected Eastport, Idaho on the Canadian border with Spokane, Washington. This linked Canadian Pacific's Kettle Valley route with Union Pacific's line to Spokane. The UP took control of the line in 1958 but operations remained separate for many years after. These cars are available in 3 different road numbers.

The UnitPak box holds 14 cars up to 60' long and the PassengerPak box holds 9 cars up to 89' long, it's perfect for passenger cars, auto parts box cars and autoracks.
